In 1936 the school attained the status of secondary school and on January 31, 1947 it received permanent recognition from the government. Due to the lack of space in St. Thomas School building, the secondary section was conducted on the second floor of present St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School. It was in the year 1956 the present campus St. Thomas Hr. Sec. School was ready and was blessed by Rev. Fr. Conrad Ignatius Dubbleman O’Praem. The classes from 6th to 11th (then) was shifted to the new campus while Primary section remained in the old campus till 1997.
